Neewer TP05 purchased for use with Smart Astronomy telescope plus a wedge for Equitorial tracking of multiple exposure imaging sessions lasting up to several hours. TP05 chosen for high load capacity, sturdy/stable aluminium alloy 4 section legs (5 sections leg get thin at mid-high extension), weight hook for extra stability etc. TP05 has a good quality construction, the controls and locking clamps all work smoothly without needing excessive force (the old unbranded tripod it replaces needed a lot of tightening to stop the head from moving due to wind/weight and the head rotation clamp screw knob had disintegrated!). First results with TP05 are good and I am hoping it will continue to give good service for some years.
