Love these lights! Exactly as pictured and really light up my dark Studio. I use them to photograph and video my art and also lights up my darker studio space! They work really well and have different settings for brightness, Warm/ Cool etc. Remote is also included! They come on an adjustable tripod stand too!

These two softbox lights and bulbs come well packaged and inside a large carry/storage bag. The lights are well packed inside this as bulb, stand and softbox and you can easily keep them within the packaging after use to protect them, the bulbs especially. The kit throughout feels well designed and of good quality. I have bought a cheaper softbox in the past and it is quite flimsy compared to this, both box and stand. These feel really robust and like they are made to last. Everything fits together really well and you can get them set up in a couple of minutes. The light can turn a darkened room into daylight and its easily adjustable on brightness and warmth with the supplied remote.I think this is a great kit, it feels made to last and well designed.

I have a couple of sets of Neewer studio lights, the NK800 set and this NK103 set.The NK800 tends to be cheaper and is also full colour - however I much prefer this bi-colour NK103.Both sets share the same stands and the softboxes are the same too, the softboxes have a ring inside which you press over the central bulb holder to spring them into shape, and once secured they remain in shape - and feel very rigid. A diffusion cover can then be applied (it's easy to apply and there are strips of velcro on each edge to hold it in place). That basic set up mentionned above is the same for both sets, the difference is the bulbs and remote control. The full colour lights are controlled via an app you install on your phone, while the bi-colour lights have a dedicated remote which you pair with the bulbs . The Bi-colour bulbs are much brighter than the full colour ones and that's why I prefer them. I've attached an image showing a comparison - the photo isn't great but it gives you an adea of what both lights output at when set to 5500 kelvin. For photography, a brighter light is beneficial, if you're using these for video then the coloured lights might be better, but small LED panel lights are so powerful and cost-effective these days that I'd rather use them for a splash of colour. The stands feel a bit better than the usual budget ones, they are a bit thicker but work in the same way. The carry bag is nice and thick and fits everything in. TO be honest, once you take the stands out of their cardboard boxes there's a bit more room so you could probably fit in some extra bits and bobs, the carry bag is designed to contain the boxes the bulbs go in so there's quite a bit of extra room. The remote is nice, most remote controllers I have for lights are generic ones with redundant buttons, but this is a dedicated remote which only the buttons you need, it's unfussy and works really well.In a nutshell: If you're on the fence over which set top get, I personally much prefer these - they are brighter and the light quality is excellent. the light is fairly soft you could always shoot through something else too if you wanted extra diffusion (you could through a diffusion sheet over the light to double up) which is something you probably couldn't do with les spowerful lights as you'd loose too much light power.

We've got smaller lights in the past that were okay but didn't do nearly the job that these lights do. Well worth the money I would recommend them highly especially for taking pictures of items to resell.

I ordered the NK103 from Neewer and it was delivered the night before the specified delivery date by Amazon, who did not ring the doorbell and left the package outside. As I was not informed of the delivery it remained outside all night. You can imagine the condition of the box in all the rain. When opening the package, one of the boxes containing an LED light had been pierced by one of the stands. Nevertheless, on assembling all the items, everything was in working order. Had it not been for the poor delivery and packaging I would have given 5 stars.

these neewer softbox lights are a cracking bargain for beginners or small businesses. the build feels sturdy, tripods are adjustable, and the reflective hoods with velcro diffusers spread light evenly. bulbs are bi-colour, adjustable from warm to cool, and can be controlled with a remote (no controls on the box itself). setup’s quick, all packs neatly into a carry bag, and the finish looks more pro than the price suggests. not studio-grade power, but brilliant for youtube, product shots or ebay listings.

Setup was quick and straightforward and the remote control works flawlessly even from a distance, the soft boxes give a beautiful even light with no harsh shadows and the overall build feels solid for the price, brightness and colour temperature are fully adjustable, making it super easy to get the perfect lighting for photos and videos, great for home studios or content creators!

I'm just a beginner really. I ordered a similar set up some years ago with humongus light bulbs that were a set size. I was never really impessed with the kit (also my lack of understanding too), I never felt it was bright enough. Also being classic bulbs I couldnt' change the colour. The bag was really basic. And although this shares some characteristics - it is worlds apart from my last kit. This has the proper fittings so I'm not having to source extra. The bulbs can have their colour changed, and the remote is novel compared to my last kit. I will say that this Neewer kit is soooo much better quality to anything I've had in the past. Really pleased - now I can photograph my stuff and not worry about the colour of the light and fighting a hood hanging off a ceiling to turn it off. Very pleased.
