Amazing light
I've been using this light for portraits/weddings and love the results. This strobe consistently fires from a good distance and with control on the QPRO-N TTL trigger, it's a very flexible package. I have only had one or two misfires over hundreds of shots. Color consistency is solid. The battery lasts for multiple shoots. I have a couple of commercial shoots coming up that we'll need grids, snoots, etc. and I'm looking forward to using this light. I highly recommend this strobe for portraits, weddings, and any other project requiring a good light with portability, flexibility, and off-camera sweetness...
Perfect just what I needed!
Update on previous feedback , Neewer support responded to my query about faulty battery instantly, sent new battery out within 2 days , new battery has a QC sticker and the best thing is it is working. Light itself has loads of power , very good and responsive functions and I hope so it will serve very well as it leaves impression of a good product overall.
I've purchased the Q4 in hope it is as good as it says in specifications. Unfortunately I can't even use my light as it came brand new with non working battery. After a years of this same issue being reported to Neewer and it is still happening, I have to say I am worried about product quality. Sorry Neewer you asked to leave a review and shots but product is jew and unusable. Support said they can send new battery but no tracking number or any info about shipment so I don't know if it os going to happen or not. I will wait as I still want to believe that this is good product but if it doesn't get resolved soon, I'll have to return product. Returns are expected to be paid by buyer based on Neewer return policy, so I guess I will have to contact consumer rights agency as this is not legal to charge someone for sending out faulty product. If this can be resolved, happy days and I'll be back to give my honest feedback again.

Not great looking but very nice flash and fast..
This light was easy to set up and very user friendly. I was also pleased with how long battery power lasted with a full charge. The build quality is solid with good weight.
As a studio photographer I need a reliable light source, good modeling lamp and plenty of power, reliability and a small footprint.This covers everything.The 400w is good for studio or location portraits.The remote operation from the trigger has not failed me on reliability.It's compact compared to other brands on the market at a higher price.The built in bowens mount makes switch ng Modifiers easy.Great battery life with mains adapter.It's light weight for carrying to shoots.The operation is easy and the menu is a breeze.I have switched to Neewer lights a while ago with the Q3's but now to have this too it's an absolute joy of a system.Will not switch back and will be planning on getting more.Highly recommend
Love it.. The day after this arrived I used on a day of studio shoots. 10am till 4pm for 20 mini sessions. The battery started to go by 4pm as expected but was pleased it lasted most the day. I then used for a wedding reception that evening and it was great having it so portable.
This versatile mobile light from Neewer is everything you’d want from a flash.Easy to carry about in its own protective case, it’s great for outdoor work as well as studio work.Don’t be put off by the name. Sure it’s not Elinchrom, Bowens Profoto etc but this fella will stand up to any comparison with the big names.With a Bowens type fit attachments are readily available.One suggestion is to purchase the compatible trigger. Makes life so much easier
I've got two of these in my photography studio and I have to say that they're now my go to flashes for key lighting. I don't use TTL as I prefer manual control over the flash settings, so I can't really comment on that feature, but the manual flash setting options are excellent though, allowing power to be lowered to 1/256 if needed.The lights have a built in Bowens mount for attachment of soft boxes and various diffusers and there's a modelling light, although that really isn't bright enough to be of much use if you're working in a studio with a fair bit of ambient light.All in all though, as a flash unit this is excellent. The recycle time is very quick and the battery life is much better than most.
